Twitter account @evleaks has been keeping us informed with upcoming devices in the market even when manufacturers hadn’t officially announced the device yet. It has been followed by journalists, bloggers and enthusiasts alike for the past two years.
Evan Blass the man behind the infamous twitter channel @evleaks announced that he’s ceasing operation. It has at least 187,000 followers to date and that comprises mostly from mobile phone manufacturers and tech journalists.
Evan Blass has already been known regarding he’s works in two of his previous jobs in Engadget and PocketNow before he started his own at @evleaks. Everyone was surprised by abrupt announcement with no particular reason has been given, but it seems that it has something to do with legal pressure from companies that the channel has been tackling on its entire operation.
It is sad to see @evleaks go, it has given us a lot of “firsts” for its entire existence and now we may have to look somewhere else for such kind of service.
