TCL Corporation recently announced their next flagship unit known as the Idol X+. The TCL Idol X+ is believed to be the successor of the company’s Idol X device with much better specs. For reference, the Idol X has a 5-inch full HD display, 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM and is equipped with a 13 Megapixel main camera.

The Idol X+ on the other hand is expected to come out with a better specification from its predecessor with one of which is the use of the latest MT6592 from MediaTek which features a true Octa-Core CPU.

Judging from the photo leaked recently, the upcoming Idol X+ is a thin device coupled with thin bezel as well. On the back, aside from the familiar camera module and LED flash, two markings are also written on the back which indicates the TCL branding and MediaTek which signifies that the device is indeed powered by MediaTek.

As also indicated above with the recently leaked images, is that the device will eventually support dual SIM cards as seen in the close-up images.

TCL Corporation owns Alcatel mobile division, when released in the market, the phone will sell as the TCL Idol X+ in China specifically and as the Alcatel Idol X+ or Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ in other markets.
