HTC is about to put the new device in store shelves next month as the company is preparing to launch the device on March 18. As an upgrade to the Desire series of devices, The new HTC Desire 8 will be a mid-range device as the company’s continuous attempt to enter the mid-range market with a device having high-end specs. When pushed through, HTC might be able to change the market which would bring new standards to lower cost devices with performance and features that matches most high-end phones while maintaining a reasonable and affordable price tag.
The HTC Desire 8 will feature at least a 5.5-inch display, 13 megapixel main camera which we’ll presume the absence of an Ultrapixel technology but with a much more desirable 5 Megapixel camera on the front. We could also expect a plastic but durable construction with design aesthetics reminiscent to existing HTC devices which features a front facing stereo speakers. It is also said to come in different colors (White, Yellow, Red, Orange and Cyan) and will feature dual SIM slots.
Though M8 flagship from HTC has been making noise recently, that could be put aside at the moment as the company is pushing the new mid-range device out of the closet. We might also be seeing the new Desire 8 during the MWC hopefully along with M8 device from HTC which should be coming in two weeks time.
