Motorists Face Another Round of Fuel Price Hikes Next Week
Motorists should brace for another round of fuel price hikes next week, as oil companies in the Philippines are expected to implement upward adjustments once again.
Industry sources estimate that diesel prices could increase by up to Php 1.00 per liter. Gasoline prices are projected to rise by ₱0.40 to ₱0.60 per liter, while kerosene may see an increase of Php 0.30 to Php 0.50 per liter.
The persistent geopolitical tensions between Russia and Ukraine continue to exert pressure on global oil prices. Additionally, uncertainty surrounding the Iran–U.S. nuclear deal is further contributing to market volatility.
Local oil firms are expected to announce their final price adjustments on Monday, with the new rates taking effect the following day, Tuesday.
