Rumors has it that today, Microsoft will roll out the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update to unlocked Windows 10 devices such as Lumias and other OEM devices. While the update is expected to become available today, Carrier branded units should have their share of the update starting on August 16.

Windows 10 Mobile fairly lagged a bit behind from Windows 10 PC counterpart in term of the roll out but this is as expect as Windows 10 Mobile was also released to the public months after Windows 10 for the PC went live. Given that the update will officially roll out today, the one week delay for carriers to roll out their version of the OS is to give them the time to optimized their devices for the features and enhancements that is included in the update, though the said improvements are minor, the aggregation of enhancements will vitally play a significant addition to the functionality and responsiveness of the OS experience.
