MediaTek announced the new Dimensity 1000+ with support for 144Hz display and dual 5G SIM slots

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G chipset just got an upgrade with the new Dimensity 1000+. The new chipset still comes with the same processor cores of 4x Cortex-A77 and 4x Cortex-A55 running at 2.6GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. It also comes with 5G modem with carrier aggregation built into the chipset itself.

It support Dual 5G SIM on a device and comes with MediaTek 5G UltraSave power saving technologies that dynamically adjust the modem’s power usage based on network reception and user’s network bandwidth consumption, therefore saving up battery.

Another feature that’s new to the Dimensity 1000+ is support for 144Hz display refresh rates and includes HyperEngine 2.0 for a more fluid and immersive gaming experience.

Together with the higher refresh rate, the new Dimensity 1000+ also incorporate the company’s MiraVision technology for better picture quality, better quality of video and streaming contents in 4K, and better upscaling of SD contents to HDR.

The new MediaTek Dimensity will be available with upcoming devices pretty soon and the first device to use the new chipset would be an upcoming IQOO smartphone that will be announced soon in China.
