Lumia Camera: The re-branded Nokia Camera app on Windows Phone 8 with bug fixes and slight improvements
Joining the band of Microsoft’s recent re-branding of Nokia mobile products and services, one of the most popular Windows Phone 8 app for Nokia Lumia devices, the Nokia Camera has been re-branded as the Lumia Camera. Few days ago, reports went out that the Nokia Camera app suddenly gone missing from the Windows Phone Store that by even using the search function would return empty, even the direct link to the camera app wasn’t possible.
Right now it was a sort of relief as just a quick search, instead of listing the Nokia Camera app from the search results, users will see Lumia Camera on the Windows Phone Store instead. Just by the app icon itself, we’ll be sure that this is the same Nokia Camera app that we used to love only this time with a slightly new name.
It functions the same, all the menu layouts is still on the same place with few bug fixes here and there, We’ve noticed a slightly faster launch time when opening the app. Aside from the improved speed, we’ve also noticed improvements in image quality. Other that these improvements, all on-screen manual controls for the camera is there untouched and still works the same.
