LG officially announced the new G Watch R

LG has finally revealed the G Watch R. The circular smartwatch is currently considered as one of the sexiest designs that made the Moto360 popular. It features a full 360 degree 1.3-inch OLED plastic display. Unlike the squarish type, the circular form design shows more of a classical and conventional watch that should grab more attention than other watch design available.

Though the design have changed, the new G Watch R still features what the first G Watch had including a small battery, though is has a 410 mAh battery with a 10 mAh improvement from its predecessor, still it’s considered as insignificant upgrade. With that, users may not expect more for the new gadget to last more than a day of use .

Underneath the new outlook, The G Watch R still features the 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 512 MB of RAM. It also includes a built-in 4GB of storage space. Like its square counterpart, the new G Watch R is also IP67 certified and that means it’s dust and water-resistant.

Aside from the new circular design, the G Watch R now features a heart rate monitor underneath and a knob on the side which appears to be a power button.

The LG will showcase the new G Watch R in Berlin at IFA 2014 that will run from September 5-10. LG is expected officially make the new G Watch available for customers within the fourth quarter of 2014. The company have not announced any pricing information about the new gadget but we’ll expect it to be disclosed as soon as it hit the local market.
