Just a few months ago Sony released the budget friendly Xperia E3 handset, Sony now appears to be ready to release a follow-up for the handset. Called the Xperia E4, the alleged handset appeared online ahead of its planned debut on MWC next year.
Polish site Teleguru posted a number of image leaks showing the upcoming Sony Xperia E4, based on the images that we have, the Xperia E4 seems to have a considerable improvements from its predecessor, the handset has a rather thin bezel unlike the Xperia E3, it also features a more rounded corners which is now more ergonomically designed and a larger footprint for a fact that it comes with a larger 5-inch display. According to our sources, the Sony Xperia E3 is wrap with a high-quality plastic build with a ceramic feel which adds to the overall look of the device.
Xperia E4’s 5-inch display is said to feature a 540 x 960 resolutions and will be powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Cortex-A7 MT6582 processor from MediaTek, a Mali-400MP4 graphics processor with 1 GB of RAM. It will be running Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box but some information suggests a possible upgrade to Android 5.0 is also in the work which can be expected at the first half 2015.
The handset is expected to be available in two variants; one will feature a single-SIM setup with model E2105 which the leaked images are showing and a dual-SIM variant with model E2115. Sony is anticipated to announced the new Xperia E4 at MWC 2015 on March next year.
