iPhone 17 Air Rumors: The Slimmest iPhone Yet with Trade-Offs in Battery and Camera
We’re a couple of months away from Apple’s next iPhone unveiling, and the rumors about the iPhone 17 Air are getting louder by the day. This slimmed-down version of the next iPhone is expected to be a new approach to making the iPhone lineup somewhat lighter, as it has become significantly heavier each year.
The latest update should elicit responses from both fans and critics. A video recently surfaced online showing a dummy iPhone 17 Air, showcasing its new design and ultra-thin construction.

Like all other iPhone-related leaks in the past, we don’t have complete details about the iPhone 17 Air yet. However, based on the rumors so far, the upcoming handset is expected to be the thinnest iPhone ever, measuring around 5.5 to 5.65mm and weighing just under 150 grams.
However, with such a thin profile, there are trade-offs. A few components had to be sacrificed, including the battery, which, according to rumors, is rated at only 2,800mAh. Additionally, the camera on the back is expected to be a single unit.
Other specs are said to include 12GB of RAM, similar to the Pro and Pro Max variants, and a 120Hz refresh rate display.
