At Instagram we’re always trying to build new features that help you get the most out of your experience. Right now we’re focused on four key areas: Creators, Video, Shopping and Messaging. pic.twitter.com/ezFp4hfDpf
From the video, Mosseri discussed the shift of interest from users which have become more elaborate through the years. The new changes that Instagram is currently working on internally that will serve these shifts focuses on Creators, Videos, Shopping and Messaging and candidly admits that the platform is no longer a photo sharing app.
These added services will even make Instagram more flexible for users and content creators giving them the necessary tools to continue to expand their content portfolio. While this sounds interesting, users of the platform obviously noticed these changes even before this announcement begun and have received mixed opinions.
