Huawei rolls out Stable EMUI 11 update for the Huawei P40, P40 Pro and Mate 30 Pro

Huawei was set to rollout its massive EMUI 11 to compatible devices next month, however a post from Reddit courtesy of Huawei Ailesi seem to show the update went ahead of schedule. Do note that this isn’t the beta version of the software but instead the stable version for the Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro and the Mate 30 Pro.

The screenshot below shows that changelog is in Turkish but the poses a few notable difference from what’s on the Beta and this said Stable update.

This what seems to be the new boot screen:

The boot screen on EMUI 11 is closely similar from its predecessor with some subtle changes including the missing green Android logo, but the text “Powered by Android” is still there signifying Huawei’s reliance on Android OS for this one. But according to our source, the Security Patch level no longer mentions “Android”.

This version of EMUI 11 brings new significant upgrades that comes with Android 11 plus with the addition of new Air gestures introduced on the Huawei Mate 40 series that is now available to other devices when it boots up EMUI 11.

The update weighs about 1.1GB with version number 11.0.0.151 may just just be the last Android version update for existing Huawei devices as it transitions to the company’s own Harmony OS which is slated to become available next year.
