A year after Huawei launched the Ascend Mate 7, it is still one of the top spec’d device in the market with features that still is becoming a standard equipment even on flagship devices to date. It features a large 6-inch screen and a fingerprint sensor encased in a full metal unibody housing.
Making the handset up to date, Huawei released Android 5.1.1 for the Ascend Mate 7 making sure that users of the high-end device wont feel left behind. The new update weighs around 1.2 GB and is available for the two Ascend Mate 7 variants MT7-L09 and MT7-TL10 which can be downloaded from the Huawei website. Users can download the update packed in a Zip file and have the default updater do the thing. However if that proves a lot of work for you, there’s an Over-the-Air (OTA) update that would roll out soon as well.
The new Android 5.1.1 update brings all the core improvements from Lollipop together with the new and update EMUI 3.1 user interface on top.
