We’ve heard about Huawei’s upcoming Mate 9, a seemingly worthy successor to the technological powerhouse Mate 8 of last year and after a bulk of rumors and leaks, Huawei now officially out its invitation to a special Mate 9 unveiling event on November 3, the event will be held in Germany and Huawei includes a teaser image to imply that it’s mate series will have a new model coming.
Huawei’s Mate series is the company’s top-end of its high-end smartphone devices and according to rumors, it will have a steep pricing considering its predecessor are already in a margin where the most expensive devices in the market are floating with.
We’ve had a chance with Huawei’s retail personnel here in Cebu and they expect the handset to more than 30K pesos for the Huawei Mate 9 launch and they are expecting the device to become available in our shores by next month.
Consecutively, Hauwei also released a new teaser which tells us that the new Mate device will focus on imaging. Rumors already suggest that the Mate 9 will sport dual-camera imaging module and will be done in collaboration with Leica just like it did with its P9 flagship and it is also said to feature 4x optical zoom.
Other features that the device is anticipated to have includes a 5.9-inch screen and it might just be available in two variants with one having a curved screen as a Pro version and another one with a regular flat display. Additionally, the handset will be powered by the latest Kirin 960 chipset which was unveiled last week and probably two configurations will be available. For that, there’s a 4GB/64GB RAM and storage combos and for the Pro to include 6GB/128GB of RAM and storage.
but until we have the official handset/s available, these will remain to be speculations that’s why it’s more than anticipated from anything that Huawei has released before as it is looking forward to provide a solid ground in the high-end premium market.
