Huawei Honor 6 becomes official with 5-inch fHD display and Kirin 920 Octa-core CPU
After a handful of rumors and leaks, the widely known Huawei Mulan is now official announced as the new Huewei Honor 6. Packing a 5-inch IPS 1080p display in a 139.8 x 68.8 x 6.5 mm thickness and having a 2.86 mm bezel making it one of the slimmest smartphone devices from the company that goes on par with their own Ascend P6. The device is considerable thin that the company has made its thin construction as one of the highlights during the event and even comparing them with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Apple iPhone 5S.
The 5-inch IPS display covers the 75.7% of the front from JDI with InCell screen technology with 2.86 mm thick bezel along the sides. The display produces a full-HD 1080p output
Inside, the Honor 6 is powered by Huawei’s own Octa-core Kirin 920 SoC with high AnTuTu benchmark score that allegedly beat the Snapdragon 805. The processor itself is compatible with Samsung’s Exynos Octa-core with four Cortex-A15 cores and four Cortex-A7 cores with Mali-T624 GPU. unlike the Exynos, the Kirin 920 features LTE Cat. 6 with download speeds reaching of up to 300 Mbps. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and a choice of 16 or 32 GB internal storage.
Huawei is also proud to talk about its power saving features that when compared to other devices having a similar feature, Huawei claims that their implementation last longer that other competing products. With its own chipset inside the device, the company claims that it’s more power saving and is much cooler than its predecessor making it more efficient and more power saving.
The Huawei Honor 6 also packs a 13 Megapixel back camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture with dual LED flash. The front camera is a 5 Megapixel shooter with f/2.4 aperture.
