It seems like everyday that we see dual camera’s getting out from the closet and Huawei likes to add some more. Introducing the new Huawei Maimang 6, it’s Huawei’s first mid-range device with an 18:9 Display and not only that, it also features not just one dual camera module but two with one dual cameras on the front and another on the back.
What makes the new Maimang 6 as something to look forward to is that, this device might just become the Huawei Mate 10 lite or perhaps the Huawei G10 on other regions in the next few weeks or so..
The 18:9 Aspect ratio display is a massive 5.99-inch screen and it’s one of Huawei’s first, we are also looking forward to see a similar display or even more than that with the upcoming Huawei Mate 10 but that’s a few weeks away from launching so the Maimang 6 gets the throne at the moment.
Under the unibody metal surface is a Kirin 659 Octa-core chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. a memory expansion slot accepts microSD cards to extend the device storage space, just in case you want more room.
Now the camera’s are a little gimmicky, on the front there’s a dual camera setup with a 13 Megapixel primary sensor and a supporting 2 Megapixel one. Right on the back is a 16 Megapixel sensor paired with another 2 Megapixel camera. With four cameras to spare, the Maimang 6 deals with regular Bokeh effect whichever mode you are in, may it be for landscape photography or simply a perfect Selfie.
Connectivity options all comes as standard including a 4G/LTE capable Dual SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. And then you’ll have a USB-C type connector and a fingerprint sensor right below the back camera.
The new Huawei Maimang 6 runs on a 3,340 mAh non-removable battery and Android 7.1 (Nougat) on the system with Huawei’s proprietary EMUI 5.1 on top.
