Huami sets new standard in smartwatches with the new Amazfit X Curved Smartwatch

Huami announced late in 2019 about the upcoming Amazfit X, a wearable smartwatch/smartband backed by Xiaomi with a curved display that is extraordinary in every proportions. The new wearable device just launched through Indiegogo with a pre-order price of $149 and is currently set for production.

The new Huami Amazfit X curved smartwatch unlike many of smartwatches in the market is a fitness tracker device but comes with a unique large curved touchscreen display at 2.07-inch of AMOLED panel with 206 x 640 resolution and 400nits of brightness.

This amazing smartwatch surrounds your wrist and follows the same idea of a bracelet with a perfectly curved metal unibody main unit. The engineers uses 700°C of heat and 6-step bending process to achieved a perfect 92° curvature for the glass and body. with a curved body, Huami also shape the battery of the Amazfit X to follow the same curvature as the smartwatch itself.

With physical buttons gone on most devices today, the Amazfit X also got rid of the bulky buttons and crowns from typical smartwatches and instead use a pressure-sensitive button on the side.

The new Amazfit X from Huami its equipped with features that you’d mostly get from premium smartwatch around including an improved Heart Rate PPG sensor with a 24 hour heart-tracking feature and an infrared sensor that measure blood oxygen levels. It can also measure your stress level and sleep.

As default, this smartband comes with a 9 versatile sports mode and is 5ATM water resistance which means it can be worn when swimming up to 50 feet and track your strokes without a hitch. There’s also a GPS tracker with GLONASS support to help with your daily activities.

Its curved Lithium Ion battery is rated at 205 mAh with up to 7 days of battery life when used in normal conditions. Charging the smartband is will be quite easy and straightforward as it uses magnetic snap cable to keep the charger in place.

The new Amazfit X will give you a ton of information right on you fingertips, part it with the official Amazfit app, you’ll get a detailed data of your daily activities and monitor your workout progress.

With the Amazfit app, you can also personalize your Amazfit X with themes and turn on or turn off any smartwatch feature that you need.

Available in Eclipse Black and New Moon Gold, Huami will be launching the device in the market in August 2020 with an SRP of $329, but like we’ve said from the beginning of this article that it’s now available for the early bids for more that half the price.
