HTC One Google Play Edition to receive the Lollipop update by next week

Now that Android 5.0 Lollipop has been rolled out to users with Nexus devices while other manufacturer joined the early release of their updates for their own devices with HTC just recently seeded the Lollipop upgrade for the One (M8),  Users of the HTC One Google Play Edition (GPE) however has been wondering on when they are getting the update. As Google stated, Updates with Google Edition device comes the earliest than the regular third-party manufacturer devices but at some point will still depend on the Original manufacturer of the GPE device.

Now, HTC’s VP of Product management Mo Versi confirmed that the company will be rolling out the Lollipop update sometime next week. Making it the third manufacturer to promptly update its flagship device, though it’s still unclear on what device (One M7 or One M8) will be getting the update, it could be both but we suspect the M8 would be getting the update first. Anyway we’ll have more details about  it in the next few days so just stay tuned for further developments.
