Who could forget Nokia’s brilliance towards mobile imaging? The brand itself has been distinguished as the best camera phone maker in the past especially when they have introduced their PureView series that graced the beloved Nokia 808 and of course went through a few more devices that includes one pictured here the Nokia Lumia 1020.
The Nokia PureView technology had been included in Nokia’s mobile division acquisition by Microsoft completed in 2014 that made the OS giant to sole marketer of the technology. But now, according to a listing on the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), HMD Global, the now owner of the rights to use the Nokia brand name has acquired the rights to use PureView and the technologies that comes along with it.
Like every Nokia fans have ever dreamed of, HMD Global is expected to make PureView technology available on Android device in the near future. This was given the fact that earlier this year, rumors have suggested that HMD Global is said to be working with Zeiss on a device having Penta-cam setup on the back and this gave Nokia fans the idea of PureView making its way to HMD Global even before its acquisition of the trademark and its technology broke the headlines.
Who you that make you interested with the new Nokia even more? We sure do and with HMD Global’s game on bringing Nokia iconic devices back into the scene makes it even more interesting and fascinating than any company that resurrected a certain brand back into the mainstream.
