Google rumored to be in talks with Chinese OEM Huawei for the 2015 Nexus phone

With so much going on in the mobile industry right now, rumors are suggesting that Google has been in talks with a Chinese mobile phone maker for the next Nexus device. GizChina has cited that the handset will be ready later this year as seen from Chinese site Weibo. According to the circulated information lately, Google will be releasing at least two new Nexus devices this year, One would come from then Nexus 5 maker LG and one from the alleged Chinese maker. Though there has been a lot of speculations lately but we still have not concrete information whether these latest rumors are true or if it is then what Chinese company did Google talked to as they supposed enacted the planned manufacturing of the next Nexus handset.

As we dig into more clues, one surfaced that The alleged Chinese mobile phone maker is yet to decide whether they’d use their own chipset or use Qualcomm which leaves many to believe that if the rumors are true then the alleged company to make the next Nexus device would favor most with the Chinese manufacturer Huawei with its own HiSilicon processor based on  ARM architecture that shipped with a number of its Android devices as of late.

Additionally, mock ups went to SlashGear’s inbox lately which shows a purported Huawei Honor 6 device with Nexus branding. Of course it’s fake but given the idea of what could Huawei do to make the next Nexus device, it’s as close as we can get as of now if these rumors does happens. And if this deal does push through, We’ll see anticipating two new Nexus devices from two different manufacturers this year with the mid-end to be built by the Chinese or better yet Huawei while the high-end variant would presumable be produce by LG. So far, there no word from Google to confirm this new reports but if something does develop, we’ll take notice of it for sure, so keep posted.
