After a number of soft-launches and limited offers, Google has finally put its well-kept technology out in the open, well that’s because Google Glass that seems to be exclusively available for explorers and beta testers in now available in Google Play Store. Google has quietly slipped the head-mounted PC on its own online store over the weekend as everyone is busy rounding up the things and events on IFA 2014 in Berlin.
Though it’s out finally, it’s not the first time that Google has widen its reach. Back in May, Google has opened the Explorer program that served mostly those who are always on the go or early adopters and wanted to try something different, something that would guide them through, kept being informed with things around and those who may be able to document their journey with the apps that goes with the Glass. For first time customers, Google has maintained the same pricing of its Google Glass. Customers who may wish to have one on their own may purchase the wearable PC for $1,500 or roughly 65,000 in Philippine Peso, not to mention shipping and additional taxes along the way, that is if you have friends abroad where you could ask them to order one for you since it isn’t available in the Philippines as of yet, then that’s what you might need to pay just in case.
For adopters, Google seems to deliver a much better version of the Glass now, they have fine-tuned and tweaked the system with new apps going live every now and then, users should find the Glass to fit comfortably well in their daily lifestyle.
So if budget doesn’t constraint, Why not try Google Glass and start to explore the new world with wearable devices.
