Google announces Android 5 “L” officially as Lollipop
The long-time in development Android 5 has officially given its official name, given the idea that the new Android version would come right after KitKat which is a brand on its own, analyst has long been speculating that the next Android version would probably Lion since Google has only given the codename “L” for its Android 5 OS. But today, we’ll be guessing no more as Google released the official name for its new Android 5 operating system as “Lollipop”.
The Android 5 Lollipop as introduced during the Google I/O 2014 features a refreshed User Interface which follow the company’s recent UI concept of Material design. The new OS will shipped along with the recently announced Google Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 devices. The OS will also be available on other Google Nexus devices namely: Nexus 4, Nexus 5, the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets as well as the Google Edition devices.
