We’ve been already told that this was coming and fortunately for us, we’ll be having the first taste of Gionee’s new Elife E7 mini in the country. Though this device is meant as a lighter alternative to Elife E7 but it seems that this one feels like another device of its own, a new series perhaps despite the name that it implies. It looks closely similar to Oppo’s N1 in which if we think of both Gionee’s Elife E7 and Oppo N1 as an entity, the Elife E7 mini is their offspring.

Despite the given device name, the Elife E7 mini is unique on its own, that 360ο angle rotating camera at the top enables new ways of taking high-resolution photos and images. This Elife E7 smaller sibling has a 4.7-inch display with a true Octa-core beneath and a gig of RAM.

The Elife E7 mini’s display is a 4.7-inch IGZO panel with HD resolution at 321 ppi. Under the hood is a 1.7Ghz MediaTek MT6592 Octa-core processor with 1 GB RAM and a Mali 450MP4 graphics. It comes with a non-expandable 16 GB of on-board memory, users will have to transfer their photos and videos to a PC or similar devices from time to time to free up storage space for that matter which we find it inconvenient, Gionee could have added at least 32 GB of storage memory knowing that the device do not support any memory expansion.

The rotating camera module houses the 13 Megapixel Autofocus camera with LED flash. The camera module rotates 360ο in which the main 13 Megapixel camera works both as the main camera as well as a front camera. With this feature, users will be able to enjoy clear high quality shots as well as high quality self-portrait images and high-resolution video call. The camera can also take full HD video recording for an excellent video documentation or just having fun.

It supports Dual-SIM capabilities for more flexibility and mobility on a 3G and HSPA+ wireless network so users can keep connected all the time anywhere. Other wireless connectivity options included are standard Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS support.

The new Elife E7 mini runs Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) which can be upgraded to Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) on a 2,200 mAh battery. Now  available in the country for Php 13,999 which we believed to be a bit pricey when compared to other devices with the same specs.
