GCash to resume bank transfer fees next month

Globe GCash has gained wide popularity especially during this pandemic as go to service for cashless transaction especially for online sellers because for one major advantage, they’ve waived the transaction fee for bank transfer transactions.

But things will change starting October 1st as the service announced that a select of commercial banks and Electronic Money Institutions or (EMIs) that uses the InstaPay network service will be charging a transaction fee for fund transfers to GCash. The transaction fee will vary on the bank or EMI which could go up to Php50.00 per successful transaction.

However, BPI and UnionBank accounts linked to the GCash app will remain free of charge for fund transfer service. For regular banks and other EMI’s, GCash will charge a minimum of Php15.00 for fund transfer (Cash-out transactions) starting October 1st, 2020.

GCash-to-GCash Send Money transactions though will remain free of charge including other GCash services like: Pay Bills and Buy Load services.
