Elon Musk shows its SpaceX spacesuit for the first time

Elon Musk teased its next-generation spacesuit designed for use on its SpaceX capsules claiming that the suit as pictured here is not a mocked up and that it actually works. The image was posted earlier yesterday via Instagram and has already been tested to double vacuum pressure. Like what everyone else think. The suit somewhat looks like it came from Hollywood where the futuristic and minimalistic design comes into play.

There are reasons why designers came with the spacesuit design. One is mobility of course as it is design to be worn inside the capsule and keeping it simple and light means more maneuverability, thus the bulky and complicated spacesuits for walking in space or in Mars is something else for that matter.

The helmet also strikes a resemblance straight from a movie or from a gaming title, but despite the radical changes from what our spacemen were using for years, the next-gen spacesuit turns out to work just fine.

Musk admits that it’s incredibly hard to keep both aesthetics and design on the same page but they still manage to bring out the suit as it is shown today. Musk is pretty excited to show off the new suits and expect more images to come out or even see the actual suit itself real soon.
