The Department of Health (DOH) issued COVID-19 Bulletin No. 171 on September 01, 2020. This bulletin reports a total of 3,483 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
With this number together with yesterday’s figure, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country is now at 224,264 with a Death toll of 3,597 after 39 new reported deaths were added.
This bulletin also reports 464 new recoveries and that makes our total number of recoveries to 158,012.
With these figures calculated, the Philippines now has a total of 62,655 active COVID-19 cases on record. More info about this Bulletin is detailed in the infographic down below:
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
