The Department of Health (DOH) issued COVID-19 Bulletin No. 176 on September 06, 2020. This bulletin reports a total of 2,839 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
With this number together with yesterday’s figure, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country is now at 237,365 with a Death toll of 3,875 after 85 new reported deaths were added.
This bulletin also reports around 23,074 new recoveries which are mostly presumed after they lapse from the required number of days for quarantine and isolation which makes our total number of recoveries to 184,687.
With these figures calculated, the Philippines now has a total of 48,803 active COVID-19 cases on record. More info about this Bulletin is detailed in the infographic down below:
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
