DOH reports mass COVID-19 recoveries

The Department of Health (DOH) issued COVID-19 Bulletin No. 218 on October 18, 2020. This bulletin reports 2,379 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

With this number together with yesterday’s figure, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country is now at 356,618 with a Death toll of 6,652 after 50 new reported deaths were added.

This bulletin also reports a total of 14,941 new recoveries making our total number of recoveries to 301,158.

With these figures calculated, the country currently has a presumed total of 39,808 active COVID-19 cases on record. More info about this Bulletin is detailed in the infographic down below:

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
