COVID-19 recoveries in the Philippines continue to rise

DOH released COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #36 at 16:00H (4:00PM PST) on April 19, 2020.

This sunday, the Department of Health reported 172 new cases of COVID-19 in the country. At the moment, the Philippines has recorded a total of 6,259 confirmed cases of the infection.

We also have 12 new reported deaths which brings our death toll to 409.

Our number of recoveries are surging up to the latest count of 572 after 56 new recoveries were added today.

In Cebu City, the local government reported 1 new COVID-19 cases in Labangon while another 1 was confirmed test positive from Mambaling but had already died before the test report was published.


COVID-19 was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.

Our health experts strongly suggests that we wear face masks as much as possible.
