As for our data on Cebu City, the Cebu City Government through the Cebu City Health Department confirmed 84 new COVID-19 cases with 82 of them coming from Sitio Zapatera in Barangay Luz and 2 coming from Labangon.

Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella already imposed a complete lockdown on the entire Barangay Luz to help contain the spread of the infection in the area. Barangay Labangon on the other hand braces for a possible lockdown after another two new cases were reported today.

COVID-19 was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.

There are no vaccines or direct cure for the disease at the moment and the only way to protect ourselves from getting infected is to practise proper and frequent handwashing, avoid touching our face, mouth, nose and eyes. Our health experts strongly suggests that we wear face masks as much as possible.
