Cherry Mobile launched the new Flare 3, available on August 2 for only 3,999 Php
Cherry mobile officially launched the new Flare 3 for the company’s Flare line of devices. dubbed at the “Phablet ng bayan”, Flare 3 flaunts a large 5-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor with 1 GB ram and a larger, not the usual storage offering from Cherry at 8 GB which makes this device a significant advantage in terms of built-in storage for affordable devices such as the Flare series which is priced just under 4,000 Php.
The 5-inch IPS display features One Glass Solution (OGS) technology and comes in qHD resolution at 220ppi, it is protected by a scratch resistant layer but Cherry Mobile have not disclosed on what type of scratch resistant layer the Flare 3 is featuring, we bet on DragonTrail or a Gorilla glass on this.
It packs a 8 Megapixel main camera with BSI sensor and a 3 Megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and high-res video calls. Inside is a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 Quad-core processor with Mali 400MP graphics processor and 1 GB of RAM. It features a larger 8 GB built-in storage which is a significant advantage over previous generation of device in the Flare series. Users who’ll be needing more room for storage can add a microSD card which supports up to 64GB.
For voice and data connections, the new Flare 3 sport Dual-SIM and supports HSPA+ wireless connectivity for fast internet browsing over the air. Other connectivity options includes: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS with A-GPS support.
The new Flare 3 runs Android 4.4 (KitKat ) on a standard 1,980 mAh battery. It will be available starting on August 2, 2014 on Cherry Mobile kiosks, stores and mobile phone retailers nationwide at a price of just 3,999 Php.
