Cebu City logs the most number new COVID-19 cases in Region 7 on Sunday

COVID-19 cases in Region 7 particularly in Metro Cebu is seeing an uphill trend as we continue to head forward on the first quarter of 2021. This weekend, the Department of Health in Central Visayas has accumulated a total of 95 new COVID-19 cases which are all coming from 2,056 individuals in 10 out of 13 registered laboratories throughout the region.

From the figures, Cebu City has the highest with 49 new cases and followed by the province of Cebu which returned 20 new cases then Negros Oriental at 14. The rest of the numbers are from Mandaue City having 11 new cases and 1 from Lapu-Lapu City.

DOH Region 7 also reported 10 new recoveries and 2 new deaths from Mandaue City and Cebu Province.
