Carl Pei’s new startup Nothing – a company that focuses on connected devices has gained a huge ground recently with high profile investors on its back. Just almost a week ago, the company just announced its first device would be a TWS earbuds and as it turns out, it’s not just a TWS that we could expect to see from the company in the near future.

Just last month, Nothing has acquired Andi Rubin’s Essential brand assets. The acquisition was completed on January 6, 2021 which includes Essential existing trademarks and logo.

Now the question is, Does Nothing also acquired Essential’s patents? Maybe, Just may be that, that seems to be the case as Essential primary is a smartphone company which Nothing needs as a bases for its smartphone development.

With this acquisition, this will hasten Nothing’s plans for connected devices for which we all know a smartphone is basically essential for devices and gadgets as a primary device for interconnectivity.
