Camarines Norte hit by Magnitude 5.4 quake

A Magnitude 5.4 earthquake rattled parts of Camarines Norte on Friday morning with intensities felt as far as Marikina and Pasig City.

According to the Philipppine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) the quake recorded was tectonic in origin in Tiinaga Island in Vinzons, Camarines Norte at 6 a.m.

These are the intensities recorded in the following areas:

  • Intensity IV – Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte
  • Intensity III – Guinayangan, Quezon
  • Intensity II – Gumaca, Mauban and Lopez, Quezon
  • Intensity I – Marikina City and Pasig City, Metro Manila; San Rafael, Bulacan
