Blackberry Z3 is set to launch in the Philippines this coming July
The Blackberry Z3 will hit the Philippines shores next month that’s according to an insider close to the mobile phone company as our source has suggested. The Blackberry Z3 is an entry-level affordable smartphone device that aims to bring the best Blackberry services to the masses.
The Blackberry has been announced since February but was then released limited in numbers, one of which is the limited edition for Jakarta with the “Jakarta” inscription writing on the upper right hand side of the device. The unit for the Philippines is yet to be revealed next month as the launching of the Blackberry Z3 becomes official.
The Blackberry Z3 features the Blackberry 10.2.1 OS and runs under a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2 GHz Dual-core Krait 200 with 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. It supports memory expansion of up to 32 GB via microSD card. It has a 5-inch display with 540 x 960 resolutions, a 5 Megapixel Autofocus main camera with LED flash and 1080p video capture, a 1.1 Megapixel front facing camera capable of taking videos at 720p.
The new Z3 doesn’t come short with connectivity features either since Blackberry serves as an ultimate communication device the new Z3 comes with standard connectivity features; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, NFC, GPS with Assisted GPS support, microUSB 2.0, HSPA+, 3G and 2G wireless connectivity.
Those are just some of the neat features of the Blackberry Z3, though the processor and especially the screen won’t win any contest, the company has stuffed the Z3 with features most commonly found only on mid-end to high-end devices which is a nice and welcome addition and let’s not forget Blackberry’s keyboard and messaging platform which makes the Blackberry devices a Blackberry.
Since the company has pulled out in the Philippines last year, it’s kind of surprising that Blackberry still shows a considerable interest in the Philippine market. With the pricing and definite availability of the Z3 is yet to be detailed next month, at least well have more room to get excited about and hoping that our local carriers will support the device.
