After one year of waiting, Asus finally kicked off the global launching of the Zenfone Zoom in India, the handset is a camera-centric smartphone in the Zenfone line of devices with optical zoom built-in. It was already available in its home country Taiwan for months already and it’s only this time that Asus formally introduced the handset to other market.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom price starts at INR 37,999 roughly around US$560 at India’s prime online retail outlet Flipkart which has either the black and white variants. Asus Exclusive stores will have the handset available by next month so if you want to get the handset earlier then the online store is current the only way.
Additionally, Asus is also preparing a special bundle package which will include the phone, a Zenflash and a tripod for INR 39,999 (around US $590). The handset is also heading to the US and is currently up for pre-orders. Like in India, the Zenfone Zoom will be available in the US by February. In the Philippines, the Zenfone Zoom will be available inline with international release and will cost you 26,995 Php.
