Asus launched its ZenFone line with the hope of driving smartphone sales for the company and indeed their strategy works fine this time. The ZenFone line-up currently includes a 4-inch, 5 and 6-inch display variants and they really cater every consumer lifestyle.
Though the current line-up serves us well, some users are looking for some sizes that may fit between the two different screen sizes, so the company decided to introduce another variant starting early next year.
According to DigiTimes, Asus is expected to unveil a 5.5-inch ZenFone at CES 2015. The ZenFone 5.5 will also feature a hardware redesign, enhancements in software, user interface, memory, camera and battery life which will also be extended to other ZenFone variants for next year.
Earlier this year, Asus predicted that it’s going to ship at least 5 Million ZenFone by the end of 2014. Analyst on the other hand believes that Asus could shipped 7.5-8 Million devices for 2014.
Asus ZenFone currently sells at a cheaper price compared to other competition but offers competitive specs and premium build quality that should entice more customers.
