Asus rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Zenfone Zoom and Zenfone Selfie

Though Asus is late to to shift its devices to the latest Android operating system, the company still is able to deliver “as promised” the much awaited update to a number of Zenfone 2’s and related variants. As claimed by Asus to upgrade their devices before the end of 2016, the company is currently focused on rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to two of the company’s imaging-centric devices the Zenfone Zoom and the Zenfone Selfie.

Like all other companies, the new update has allowed Asus to clean out all other redundant features and bloatware that has plague the Zenfone devices when it launched. From here on, most of Asus home-baked apps that provides the same functionality as those provided by Android as built-in apps were scrapped. This move should make devices a little more clutter free and more organized in a sense that users will have to use one single app for a certain functionality rather that provide a number of different apps with the same functions and will even confuse some users about the redundancy.
