The heat is on for Oppo’s alleged R7 handset which is one of the anticipated handset to go out this year. It has been hailed as one of the company’s first product to incorporate a virtually bezelless screens. We’ve reported earlier that despite early reports that the handset would feature a zero bezel display but as things gets clear, it’s in fact having a small bezels on its side but it is considerably thinner than most of the handset in the market with Oppo’s new proprietary display technology on hand.
With the latest leak we have today, other than substantial text reports, we actually have a video of the alleged R7 device working in all its working condition. This devices may also be one of the device that we have in the video late last month which shows the razor thin bezels on that video which you can glance over here.
Bezelless display have gone out recently which was popularized by Sharp with their Aquos Crystal handset and recently from ZTE and LeTV which also employs almost the same building principles. The alleged Oppo R7 handset on the other hand which follows the same building hype as those company’s we’ve mentioned to include a nearly bezelless display, the Oppo R7 might also be one of the thinnest handset in the world today which only measures at 4.85 mm thick.
Aside from the R7 device it is also said that it will be accompanied by the flagship’s bigger sibling the R7 Max with both devices to due on the 20th of May. While both devices may share the same aspects, the R7 Max will be much thicker to accommodate more room for a larger battery to fit inside. Other than these speculations, The flagship device is also rumored to include a fingerprint sensor which has become a somewhat standard component in today flagship devices.
