Android One devices starts receiving Android 7.0 (Nougat) upgrade

It’s not just the Nexus devices this time but to Android One phones as well, Google rolled out the Android 7.0 (Nougat) to entry level Android One devices and according to our source the info came from none other than a smartphone user here in the Philippines with his Cherry Mobile G1 which had been cuedfor the Nougat upgrade.


Google promised to update Android One devices like they use to update Nexus devices and though it took a little while for Google to reach Android One devices but as expected there it is. The upgrade weighs around 747.8 MB in size and includes the latest August security patch for Android.

With the update, Android One devices will be able to enjoy the new features and enhancements found on Nougat, better battery consumption, Multi-Window and the new set of emoji’s are just afew of new additions and tricks on Android 7.0 so if you are rocking an Android One device right now, go ahead and check your notification as you might just have one upgrade notification that would level up your Android experience.
