ABS-CBN launches its Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) service with a TVPlus box for only 2,500.00 Php

ABS-CBN finally launches its first digital box receiver to the public. Called the TV Plus or the “Mahiwangan black box” or in Cebuano “Kahibulongang Black Box” which was given to selected few through DYAB’s special contest where they would visit different areas in the metro to give the Black Box for free to anyone who can guess a mysterious personality voice on-air. That was before the company officially launch the digital receiver, Now the TV Plus box is available for purchase to anyone who would like to get the feeds from ABS-CBN’s owned digital-TV channels including its newly launch Digital Terrestrial Television channel or DTT which includes ABS-CBN, ABS-CBN Sports and Action plus four other digital channels that the network currently owns.

Currently the digital service is available in these areas:

  1. Metro Manila
  2. Rizal
  3. Cavite
  4. Laguna
  5. Bulacan
  6. Pampanga
  7. Nueva Ecija
  8. Tarlac
  9. Pangasinan
  10. Benguet
  11. Metro Cebu

The TVPlus box offers free-to-air digital channels of ABS-CBN including ABS-CBN itself and ABS-CBN Sports and Action channel plus four other stations that includes DZMM TeleRadyo, Yey kids entertainment, the Knowledge Channel and CineMo movie channel according to Chinky Alcedo the company’s head of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) for ABS-CBN Corporation.

Users who would like to avail the new TVPlus box may do so with a one-time payment of 2,500 Php. Also the purchase will include an ABS-CBN mobile SIM card for free with 50.00 Pesos worth of regular load. It can be purchase on participating outlets on those supported areas including  SM Appliance center, 2Go Express, Solid Service Center, VillMan Computers and Silicon Valley stores. For those who preferred to order online, the TVPlus box is also available through the ABS-CBN official online store at www.abs-cbnstore.com with free delivery to those area where the signal is available. Orders are also taken through text, just text your inquiries and place your order and send it  to 23661 or through phone via ABS-CBN hotline 488-8888 for users from Metro Manila or 1-800-10488-8888 for users outside of Metro Manila.
