TECNO is bringing something a little different to the Philippine smartphone market with the new CAMON Slim 5G.As its name suggests, the phone’s biggest selling point is its slim design. Measuring just 6.39mm thick and weighing 171 grams, the CAMON Slim 5G manages to remain remarkably thin while carrying a 6,000mAh battery inside.

That combination is probably the most interesting part of the phone. Slim smartphones usually mean making compromises somewhere, particularly when it comes to battery capacity. TECNO is taking the opposite approach here.

The CAMON Slim 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, giving the phone a smooth display experience for scrolling, gaming and watching videos. It also includes 2160Hz PWM dimming, along with Rain Touch and Waterproof Case Touch features designed to keep the display responsive when your hands or the screen are wet.

Despite its slim body, the phone is also built with durability in mind. TECNO lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, along with MIL-STD-810 certification. The company also says the phone can survive up to 30 minutes of full submersion and exposure to high-pressure water jets.

Photography remains an important part of the CAMON lineup, and the Slim 5G comes equipped with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera. The main sensor measures 1/1.56-inch and features optical image stabilization, while an 8MP autofocus ultrawide camera provides a 112-degree field of view. There’s also a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.

TECNO is also highlighting its Super-Zoom FlashSnap feature, which uses AI-assisted processing to help capture fast-moving subjects. The system supports up to 2x telephoto snap shooting, while the phone’s portrait mode provides 24mm, 35mm and 50mm focal-length options.

Perhaps the most unusual accessory introduced with the CAMON Slim 5G is the TECNO Mag Badge. The small magnetic accessory features a 1.73-inch AMOLED display and works as a remote shutter and selfie assistant.

It can also display a preview from the phone’s rear camera, allowing users to frame selfies using the more capable rear cameras. The remote shutter can work from up to 10 meters away, giving users more flexibility when taking group photos, portraits or creative shots.

TECNO is also positioning the Mag Badge as more than just a camera remote, with its display capable of showing photos and other information.

Now under the hood, the CAMON Slim 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G chipset. The Philippine model comes with 8GB of RAM, with TECNO’s extended RAM feature adding up to another 16GB of virtual memory. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, depending on the variant.

The phone runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16, and TECNO is also adding several AI-powered features covering photography, recording, productivity and everyday tasks.

TECNO CAMON Slim 5G officially launched in the Philippines on October 1, 2026. with price starting at 24,999 Pesos for the 8GB + 128GB model marketed as an online-exclusive configuration, while the 8GB + 256GB version costs 27,999 Pesos. The 256GB model is available through TECNO stores, authorized dealers and the company’s official online channels.

TECNO is also offering the Mag Badge as a pre-order/freebie accessory for a limited time, adding another reason for early buyers to take a closer look at the new CAMON.
