Nothing Opens Community Review Program, Letting Fans Test Upcoming Products Before Launch
Nothing is once again giving its community a chance to get hands-on with unreleased hardware and software, although selected testers will need to keep things under wraps.
Nothing is once again giving its community a chance to get their hands on its upcoming products before everyone else with the launch of another round of its Community Review Program, an initiative designed to put unreleased Nothing hardware and software into the hands of selected community members. According to Nothing, the program isn’t just about getting early access but also gives participants a direct line to the company and an opportunity to share feedback that could help shape future products.
The latest round was announced through the official Nothing Community forum, although the company has not revealed exactly which upcoming product or products participants will be testing. That mystery makes the program particularly interesting, especially with Nothing continuing to expand its product lineup beyond smartphones.
Nothing says the program is aimed at people who are passionate about technology or have strong expertise in product reviews. You don’t necessarily have to be a professional tech reviewer to apply, but selected participants are expected to be comfortable testing products and sharing their experiences with the wider community.
There is also a significant confidentiality requirement. Anyone selected will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and maintain high standards of information security while handling products that have not yet been publicly released. Participants will also have to follow the embargo dates and deadlines provided by Nothing.
This means getting an unreleased Nothing device early comes with some responsibility. You may get to experience the product ahead of the public, but you won’t necessarily be free to reveal everything you discover.
However, one important detail for anyone thinking about applying is that the review devices are loan units. Nothing specifically states that participants will have to return the products once the review period is over. The good news is that participants don’t have to pay for shipping, as Nothing says it will cover the shipping costs for both delivery and pickup.
So, while this isn’t a way to score a free Nothing phone or gadget, it does provide selected community members with something arguably more interesting for tech enthusiasts, the opportunity to use an unreleased product before it officially reaches consumers.
The Community Review Program also appears to be about giving Nothing a different perspective on its products. The company says selected participants will have direct communication with the Nothing team and “a real say” in helping shape what it builds next. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own creativity to the experience rather than simply producing a conventional product review.
Previous rounds of the program have included activities such as sharing first impressions, creating unboxing content, showcasing different use cases and eventually publishing full reviews once the relevant embargo has lifted. That makes the program particularly interesting for creators, reviewers and enthusiastic Nothing users who want to get more involved with the brand beyond simply buying its products.
For those interested in joining, Nothing says applications for the current round will close on October 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM BST. The company also notes that the program is not applicable to users in India. Being accepted isn’t guaranteed, either. Nothing explicitly states that submitting an application does not mean the applicant will be selected.
For everyone else, however, this is an interesting opportunity to potentially experience what’s next from Nothing before the company’s upcoming products officially hit the market.
