Cherry Mobile Flare S2 unveiled. Better Camera, larger 4.5-inch display

Cherry Mobile released their Flare S device no longer a year ago. Now the Philippine local mobile phone company is set to release a new device to the Flare series with the new Flare S2. The new Flare S2 is Cherry Mobiles answer to the consumers woes with the first generation Flare S.

The Flare S2 features a new Sony IMX 179 back camera along with 2 LED flash which is a big improvement from the current Flare S. We have tackled the first generation Flare S last December with a disappointing main camera in which given that it’s an 8 Megapixel camera the output doesn’t justify as it seem. With Flare S2, Cherry Mobile addressed this issue by incorporating a better camera module.

Aside from its new camera module, the CM Flare S2 also features a larger 4.5-inch IPS display and a better 2 Megapixel camera on the front improving while enticing users for more selfies.

Cherry Mobile is modest enough to set the price for the Flare S2 at 4,699 Php tax inclusive which is only 200 Php more compared to the original Flare S when it was released last year. Though we don’t have any information as of late, whether we’ll be having the same battery capacity as the first-gen Flare S. Given the more power-hungry components inside the new Flare S2, users are hopeful to pick up the new Flare S2 with an improved battery that should at least last a day for the new device.
