Poco F7 Launches with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, Huge Battery, and Affordable Price

Flagship devices don’t have to tick all the checkboxes to earn their status, some just need to excel at what they do best and refine it. That’s exactly what the Poco F7 offers as Xiaomi officially launches the new smartphone into the market.

Sitting alongside its siblings, the Poco F7 Pro and Ultra, the new vanilla Poco F7 focuses on delivering flagship-grade performance paired with a sleek, futuristic design. The phone features a CNC-machined aluminum chassis with glass on both the front and back. It also supports IP68 water resistance, and Poco claims the F7 can withstand up to 70 kg of pressure.

The Poco F7 boasts a large, bright 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 2772 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The display is complemented by ultra-thin bezels and a punch-hole cutout housing a 20MP selfie camera.

On the back, there’s a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX882 wide-angle sensor with OIS and a 26mm-equivalent focal length. This is accompanied by an 8MP sensor with a 15mm ultrawide lens.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, which features an “all-big-core” CPU architecture, delivering a 30% performance boost and pushing its AnTuTu benchmark score past 2 million points. This is made possible thanks to its massive 6000mm² 3D Dual-Channel IceLoop cooling system the largest cooling solution ever seen in a Poco device.

For gaming, the Poco F7 is equipped with WildBoost 4.0 engine, optimizing display and audio performance for a smooth and engaging gaming experience.

Keeping the lights on is the largest battery in the F-series yet: a 6,500mAh battery for the global version. Meanwhile, the Indian variant packs an even larger 7,550mAh battery. Both models support Xiaomi’s 90W HyperCharge and 22.5W reverse wired charging.

The Poco F7 comes in Black, White, and a special Cyber Silver Edition featuring a Snapdragon-themed back design. Storage configurations include 12GB RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

Available starting July 1st, the Poco F7 is priced at US$399 for the 12GB/256GB model and US$449 for the 12GB/512GB variant. Early bird pricing is also available at US$349 and US$399, respectively.
