Aside from high-end Lumia’s to take the stage on October 6, Microsoft is also expected to announced a lower-end model which will form the basis and demonstrates how well will Windows 10 Mobile could perfectly perform even in a low-end entry-level devices. As real as it get, the upcoming Lumia 550 got leaked online along with hardware specs that the handset includes. After a close inspection, our sources confirms that the leak is legit and the specs is what the Lumia 550 is going to get when it launches in a few weeks from now.

While we already know what the handset will boot as soon as the power button is pressed, the only thing that is let for us to know is what hardware specs the upcoming device will run into which we’ve just got fresh from a reputable sources.

The Lumia 550 comes in a signature Lumia design and will be available in either Bright Red, Bright Blue, Black and White. It packs a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display and a camera both on the front and back. Previous leaks implies that the handset would include a 5 Megapixel camera on back while a 2 Megapixel camera sits on the front. It will be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset with Quad-core Cortex-A7 processors clocked at 1.2 GHz. There’s an 8 GB of Flash storage in its sleeve so expect a microSD slot for memory expansion to be included. As for the RAM, leaks haven’t confirm what is included in the package but given the market range the handset is heading, we’re seeing either a Gig of RAM or perhaps 2 GB should be included in the package but still we’re inclined to the former which seems logical at this point.

Microsoft have already restructured is Mobile phone business which the company is releasing three different devices in three major segments in the market with value which might range from low to mid-end segment, high-end and business users. The long rumored Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL already fit into the high-end segment, so filling up the Value segment will be the Lumia 550 while a device for the Business segment remains to be seen.
