Alcatel announced the 5000 mAh battery equipped Pixi 4 Plus Power

Alcatel has always stayed true to offer affordable smartphones with its Pixi series and the trend continues with a lot more in the package. Though it isn’t a powerful hardware that you’d hope for on a such an entry-level device but Alcatel addressed the woes of users for long-lasting battery. As the name goes, the new Pixi 4 Plus Power houses a super large battery for its size. In fact the battery inside the new Pixi device is almost a tablet-grade powerhouse at 5,000 mAh which supports quick charging and can also share its juice to other devices with its powerbank capabilities.

The handset is built around its 5.5-inch IPS display with HD 720p resolutions. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage space with microSD card support of up to 32 GB. Though entry-level, Alcatel puts up a 13 Megapixel shooter at the back while the front houses a 5 Megapixel sensors with all the built-in filters and stuff that makes taking pictures fun. What’s even more fun is that both the front and back cameras are supported with a dedicated LED flash which renders the handset an ideal tool for Selfies and scenic photography.

For connectivity, the Pixi 4 Plus Power will not take you to blazing fast LTE speeds still should do the job with its HSPA+ support with GSM/GPRS that comes as standard on 2 SIM slots plus a handful of other connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and microUSB 2.0.

Finally, besides the large 5000 mAh battery, the Pixi 4 Plus Power runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which also has built-in power management features that fully optimize the handset’s battery and further give users the peace of mind while carrying their device around without worrying to much of finding a power outlet.

Pricing and availability is not yet known but Alcatel would announce them soon as the handset gets launched in different regions. When it finally arrive in stores, the Pixi 4 Plus Power will be available in Pastel colored housing.
