At the start of the year, we’ve usually exhausted our resources from last years holiday season though not to the extreme but it’s a  practice that we usually get back up but taking notes of our budgets and if the budget restraints you from getting something new this year then it’s probably best for you to outsource somewhere for a potential candidate of the things that you love to have this quarter.

If you are looking for a gadget, a smartphone perhaps and you’re still struggling to go back up, ZTE can help with their new entry-level handsets the ZTE Grand X3 and the Avid Plus. Both devices may not won the best smartphone of the year with specs that’s not really to impress everyone but for its price, it’s one that you could easily get without a sweat.

ZTE Grand X3

The Grand X3 offers a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by a modest Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset with 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage space with microSD card support for memory expansion.

Feature-wise, the Grand X3 is equipped with an 8 Megapixel main camera at the back and an equally standard 2 Megapixel shooter right on the front. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with minor ZTE UI changes. The handset also brings some of the features commonly found on high-end devices and that is the new USB Type-C reversible port and a large 3,080 mAh battery which should be more than enough to a whole day of operation.

The ZTE Grand X3 will be available in the US on Cricket Wireless for $130 off-contract.

ZTE Avid Plus

The Avid Plus is the smaller device between the two and it features a 5-inch LCD display with FWVGA with 854 x 480 resolutions and is also powered by Snapdragon 210 chipset running at 1.1 GHz. It also comes with 1 GB RAM and a modest 8 GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for storage expansion. Running on its veins is Android 5.1 Lollipop which looks like it favors ZTE up to this point.

The handset features a 5 Megapixel main camera and standard 2 Megapixel right on the front. It also comes with a little lesser 2300 mAh battery.

The new ZTE Avid Plus will become available on January 20 at T-Mobile and on MetroPCS afterwards for only $115.00 off-contract, good enough for starters or those who would want a secondary handset for a cheap price.
