YouTube will soon allow users to stream live videos straight from their smartphone’s camera app. In a recent blog post, Google the company behind YouTube will be working with Asus, Samsung, LG, Motorola and Nokia to start with and will be rolling out the new feature in the next coming months.
The latest YouTube Android app already allowed users from going live-stream and having that feature embedded straight into the smartphone camera app will allow users to feed live videos straight to their YouTube channel. The recent announcement is inline with YouTube’s new implementation on their live-streaming service directly from PC’s.
“Our goal is to bring this feature to even more device manufacturers throughout the year through the new YouTube Mobile Live deep link.”
Currently, users can launch their YouTube app and tap the video camera icon from the App header and hit “Go Live”. For desktops, users will have to go to youtube.com/webcam like so…
