It seems that whenever a new Xiaomi Redmi series are released in the market, there’s a Note moniker right next to it and that continues up to now. The Redmi 5 which debut’s as Xiaomi’s entrant to the world of 18:9 displays at least for the mid-range market will soon has its own Note variant with the eventual release of the Redmi Note 5. The said handset has been rolling in the rumor mill for quite some time and it even solidifies its presence with the recent render of the alleged handset.

These renders are following consistently with previous rumors down to latest which suggests that this could be the most probable handset design for the Redmi Note 5. It takes cues from the latest Redmi 5 handset with a large 18:9 Aspect ratio display at 5.99-inch. There will also be the significantly thin bezels at the top and bottom where the top houses the telephone speaker, a front facing camera and sensors. At the bottom is where the mic, charging port and hopefully a 3.5mm audio jack as well.

At the back is looking as it is in two-tone effect on the same contrasting colors, the main back plate should be metal with the main dual cameras – a 16MP paired to 5MP sensor are in placed together with an LED flash. Here you’ll also find the device’s fingerprint sensor that sits below the camera module.

The upcoming Redmi Note 5 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with no less than 4GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64GB in capacity.  There’s a microSD support too so expanding that storage when needed comes is a nefty add-on. It will be running MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo with 4100mAh battery on board.

The new Redmi Note 5 is expected to be released between March and April this year. Pricing and availability is set to become available as soon as the device becomes official but experts expects around CNY1,499 or equivalent to $US 238.00.
